Did you know?
The average person walks...wait for it...the equivalent of five times around the world in a lifetime.
Yes! Maybe you don't believe it...but it's true. Just think. The circumference of the earth if you walked from one point all around the world in a straight line and back to the same point, is 40,000 km or 25,000 miles approximately.
If everyday you walk a total distance 3 km or 1.8 miles [which many people do] you end up walking the distance of 40,000 km or 25,000 miles in only 36 years! So at 72 years you may have walked around the world twice. But many people walk as many as 4 or 5 miles per day.
Not very surprising. The average professional footballer runs a distance of over six miles in a single game.
Wait for tomorrow's fact...and did you know I write?
